Jackets Required TV Presents: Episode 39 Importance of Hand Sewing in Custom Clothing

Welcome to Jacket’s Required, hello, I’m Dominic Lacquaniti, designer and tailor.

On this week’s episode of Jackets required TV I want to share with you a little about the importance of hand sewing in creating custom clothing.

There are certain items, of a custom suit for example, that are always hand sewn. These include the buttonholes, the buttons, and the linings or interfacings.

The longer seams, such as the pant legs, are sewn on a machine but not by a computer program, But by a real person, a master craftsman (or woman) who knows how to properly feed the fabric through the machine to avoid damaging it. They pay attention to every detail, in real time, to ensure your garment is top quality throughout each stage of its’ creation.

Our staff is expertly skilled and has years of experience in handling, cutting and sewing a variety of fabrics used in creating custom clothing.

You know the old adage – practice makes perfect. The gifted team at Rocco’s Tailor Shop is the key to creating beautiful, one of a kind, custom clothes for our customers.

If you want perfection and you have to look your best, you simply need to stop by the shop and let us walk you through the various stages of selecting and designing your next killer look.
