Jackets Required TV Presents: Episode 57 The Best Skirt Cut for Women this Spring

Hey ladies are you ready to put your best forward this Spring?
In this week’s episode of Jackets Required we’re talking about the best skirt or dress cut to make you look your best this Spring.

The most flattering and most universally flattering cut is the classic A Line.

An A line skirt is cut to be fitted at the hips and gradually become wider towards the hem.
It gets its’ name from resembling the capital letter A in shape.

The A Line cut can be worn in a variety of lengths, although shorter, ‘60s inspired styles are on-trend this season. Remember, if you are over 40 though your skirts should be around knee length, as discussed in episode 52.

In cooler weather, for our snowbirds or northern friends, A-line skirts in heavier fabrics, leather or suede, worn with opaque tights and pumps give a sporty, gamine look.

Longer lengths require softer fabrics that drape – otherwise the A-line cut becomes a bit of a lampshade and well, that’s just NOT flattering.

Trust your tailor to help you determine the perfect length for your body type.

Look and feel great this Spring and all year with clothing that is made to fit and flatter you.
