This brand is personal.
My father began tailoring at the age of six. My uncle built a shoemaking business from nothing. I grew up watching hands work — slowly, deliberately, without shortcuts. That is the only way I know how to do things.
D. Lacquaniti was born from that inheritance. Not as a tribute to the past, but as a commitment to what making something properly actually means.
Every shoe we produce is made entirely by hand in Italy, in the same regions where the craft has been practiced for generations. We work with a small number of artisans — people who take ten to fifteen hours to complete a single pair. We use only the finest suede leathers and materials. Nothing cheap. Nothing rushed.
We make very few pairs. On purpose.
Each collection is limited and named. When it's gone, it's gone. There are no restocks, no mass runs, no compromises. That is not a marketing strategy — it is simply how we believe beautiful things should be made.
We are not trying to compete with the fashion industry. We are doing something quieter, and more lasting.
